If you’re like me, you start stockpiling races like a squirrel foraging for nuts. With that said, here’s a race you do NOT want to miss! Just in time to mark the beginning of fall, Allstate Life Insurance is sponsoring this year’s Atlanta 13.1 Marathon and Karhu 5k on October 7th!
Taking advantage of cooler temperatures, both races will begin at 7 a.m. sharp. You’re set for some beautiful sites, with the course starting and ending at Town Brookhaven and winding its way along the rolling hills of the Brookhaven community, bordering historic Oglethorpe University. (Click here for a turn-by-turn lowdown of the course. Click here see the elevation chart, typical Atlanta terrain.)
Run, walk, and jam your way to the tunes from local bands, DJs, sideline performances and cheer squads. As race day approaches, be sure to check here for the lineup. This USATF-certified race is perfect for beginners and advanced runners/walker alike. The course is walker-friendly with an average pace of 16minutes/mile. So recruit your family and friends for a fantastic, fun-filled time!
You have until Oct. 3rd to register online. Don’t wait too long! The earlier you sign up, the lower the entry fee.
